The two-pound forging hammer is similar to more traditional styled cross-pein hammers; however, the stepped pein is both aesthetically pleasing and produces a more powerful blow as force is more directly translated through the piece. This hammer also mirrors the proportions of the larger hammer I offer in the same style. The lighter hammer is more ideal for lighter and detailed work, as well as refining the surface of the material to provide a clean sleek finish. The hammers are forged from one piece of 4140 steel and are completely hand-forged and finished in my shop. All forging is done through an open die forging process under the power hammer and all refining is done by hand. There have been countless hours gone through prototyping designs and proportions to give you the cleanliest and most effective tool I can produce. I pride myself on the cleanliness of work and the hammers will arrive in mint condition and ready to work. I use the same style and weight hammer daily and it affords a forging pleasure you will not be able to find in any other style hammer.
