I am excited to begin to offer a new style of hybrid pan! These wok/skillet hybrids have been inspired by my customers who have reached out to have custom pieces forged. They are made in a very similar fashion to my woks and measure very closely, however, they vary most distinctly in the base. My 14" carbon steel woks are forged with a bottom around 4". These new hybrid pans have their base forged to 6.125". This offers almost triple the cooking area while only sacrificing just over half an inch in height. These woks/skillets are perfect for induction and electric stoves as the greater surface area allows the wok to heat more quickly and evenly. These hand-forged pans will also work on gas stoves for those who are seeking something between a wok and a frying pan. The higher walls offer more protection when deep fry or lightly sauteeing to avoid oil splatters. These pieces are hand forged, one at a time, and made to order, so if you are looking for something a little different or customized to your specifications please let me know.
