This point chisel is forged from a single piece of cold-rolled high carbon steel. The handle of the steel is forged to an octagonal cross-section to allow ease of use all well as pay homage to traditional tools forged over centuries ago. The octagonal handle is far superior over a round handle as it not only looks and feels better in the hand but also allows the user to have a more secure grip and indexing of the tool. This point chisel can be used for stone working, metalworking, or blacksmithing; however, if you are looking for a custom tool please do not hesitate to contact me, and I will be able to custom forge any tool you may require. The overall length of this tool is 7". The tool is professionally heat treated to ensure a durable tool that will not chip and damage the user; however, please specify how you intend to use the chisel as the I will heat treat and grind the edge of the tool depending on the use. For instance, a blacksmith's center punch and stonemasons point chisel may look the same but operate very differently and need to be treated as such.
