I am happy to begin offering these forged sledgehammers on a production level. They are able to be forged anywhere from half a pound up to full-size eight-pound hammers. The hammer in this listing is four pounds; however, if you are in need of a custom size, please contact me and I will be happy to forge to your exact specifications. These hammers are forged from chrome-moly tool steel and are professionally heat treated to offer the user a truly unique experience. They are ideal for many applications, from demolition, woodworking, or blacksmithing, and are hand forged and finished by myself in my studio in Bakersville, North Carolina. This product has been designed and tested to ensure a truly rugged product that can handle any job you put to it. The handles are hand carved from local dry-aged hickory trees and are press-fit onto the hammerhead ensuring a truly tight fit that will not come loose. The hammerhead will last longer than the handle, and I cannot offer a guarantee on the wood; however, if anything should ever occur to the handle, feel free to return the head to me and I will rehandle the piece free of charge.
